Amman, June 18 (Petra)-- The foreign ministers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt strongly condemned the continued escalation of settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including recent attacks targeting the Grand Mosque in the village of Jiljilya and Al-Farooq Mosque in the village of Mazari' al-Nubani, north of Ramallah.

In a joint statement, the ministers stressed that these attacks constitute a clear violation of the sanctity of places of worship and religious sites, as well as a breach of international law, including international humanitarian law and relevant United Nations resolutions.

The ministers reiterated their absolute rejection of the attacks carried out by Israeli settlers, as well as Israel’s continued unilateral and illegal measures in the occupied Palestinian territories, warning that such actions fuel instability, violence, and extremism while undermining international efforts to achieve peace.

They held Israel, as the occupying power, responsible for these attacks.

The ministers also renewed their call on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by compelling Israel to halt its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank, end its illegal practices, stop settler violence, hold perpetrators accountable, and ensure that they do not enjoy impunity.

Reaffirming their unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, the ministers expressed steadfast support for the fulfillment of the Palestinians’ legitimate and inalienable national rights, foremost among them the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital.

They further reiterated their support for all efforts aimed at ending the Israeli occupation and achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, in accordance with international law, relevant United Nations resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
